South Warren High School has announced the appointment of Nathan Isenberg as its new head baseball coach, stepping in after the retirement of longtime mentor Chris Gage.
Isenberg, who most recently led Bowling Green High School to a KHSAA State Tournament appearance in 2026 and amassed a 194‑64 record over eight seasons, brings a championship pedigree to the program.
His tenure at Bowling Green included four district titles and two region championships, culminating in a 30‑win season that highlighted his ability to develop a young but competitive squad.
A Legacy of Success
The transition comes just two weeks after Isenberg vacated his previous position, underscoring the urgency and confidence the school board placed in his capabilities.
South Warren’s baseball team, though relatively young, has built a reputation for resilience and a winning culture, traits that align with Isenberg’s coaching philosophy.
Athletic director Mark Daniels expressed optimism, stating that Isenberg’s experience and proven record will help sustain the program’s momentum and foster continued growth among its players.
The hiring marks the second head coach in the history of South Warren’s baseball program, reflecting both the school’s commitment to stability and its ambition to compete at higher levels in upcoming seasons.
