Nathaneal Davis, a left‑handed outfielder from Orlando, has elected to enroll at Louisiana State University rather than enter the 2026 Major League Baseball Draft.
The prospect was projected as a second‑round pick, with a slot value ranging from $2.4 million to $1.3 million, and he was ranked No. 60 among high school players and No. 133 overall in the national talent pool.
Davis’s decision follows an impressive showing at the MLB Draft Combine in Arizona and arrives as LSU secures the nation’s second‑ranked signing class, a group that includes eleven prospects ranked within the top 100.
A Strategic Commitment
The Tigers have added transfers Bino Watters from Notre Dame and Jason Wachs from Tulane, and Davis will compete with rising sophomore William Patrick for the starting center‑field position in 2027.
Coach Jay Johnson and recruiting coordinator Joe Doyle emphasized Davis’s blend of speed, power and defensive range, noting that his commitment signals a calculated effort to fortify LSU’s outfield for the upcoming season.
