Navy Baseball’s Max Bishop Stadium to Undergo $5 Million Renovation

Alumni funding fuels upgrades ahead of 2027 season

A New Era for Navy Baseball

The Max Bishop Stadium, home of Navy baseball, is slated for a $5 million overhaul made possible by generous leadership gifts from two alumni who once wore the Midshipmen’s cap.

The renovation will modernize the interior, adding a new team locker room, an expanded athletic training facility, a dedicated nutrition center, upgraded coaches’ offices, two premium fan suites and a state‑of‑the‑art press box, all designed to elevate the experience for student‑athletes, coaches and spectators alike.

Coach Chuck Ristano called the project a “game‑changer,” emphasizing that the upgrades will be centered on player and team development while also enhancing the atmosphere for fans.

Construction is scheduled to begin this summer, with work progressing so that the stadium will be ready for the 2027 home opener, ensuring that the next generation of Midshipmen can compete in a facility that matches the academy’s standards of excellence.
