NBC Universal is set to make history by broadcasting all 15 Major League Baseball games on a single Sunday, a move that marks the first time a media company has presented every game on the MLB schedule.
The unprecedented slate will be available nationwide without blackout restrictions, giving fans across the country a seamless way to follow the action on both Peacock and the NBC Sports Network.
Multi‑view innovation on Peacock
Peacock will enhance the viewing experience with a four‑box multi‑view presentation, allowing audiences to watch several games simultaneously, while most of the games will also be carried on NBCSN.
Rob Hyland, senior vice president of production at NBC Sports, will supervise the coverage. Hyland, who produced the primetime coverage of the 2024 Paris Olympics and Super Bowl 60, has been tasked with coordinating a massive live‑event operation that began planning in March.
The broadcast teams will feature a mix of talent from the competing clubs, with the Padres‑Dodgers matchup highlighting the lineup. Announcers Jason Benetti, Orel Hershiser, Jake Peavy and C.C. Sabathia will call the game, believed to be the first time three Cy Young Award winners appear together on an MLB broadcast.
By offering every Sunday game without blackout limits, NBC Universal aims to reshape how baseball is consumed, leveraging the reach of its streaming platform and cable network to deliver a truly national sports experience.
