Nebraska Basketball Unveils 2026‑27 Schedule
The university’s athletics department confirmed Tuesday that the Big Ten has officially published the conference slate for the 2026‑27 men’s basketball season, setting the stage for a full slate of 18 conference contests.
Nebraska will host a ten‑game home slate that includes matchups against Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Ohio State, Penn State, Rutgers, UCLA and USC, providing a blend of traditional rivals and West Coast powerhouses.
Road Challenges and Double‑Play Opponents
The road portion of the schedule sends the Huskers to Illinois, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan State, Northwestern, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue, Washington and Wisconsin, while the double‑play opponents — Iowa, Michigan State and Penn State — will be encountered both home and away.
A notable storyline is the first meeting with a defending national champion since Kansas visited Lincoln in 2009, as the Wolverines, fresh off their title, travel to Nebraska as part of the home schedule.
Coach Greg Gard and his staff have emphasized that the non‑conference portion of the calendar remains to be announced, but the conference slate alone promises a competitive year for the program.
