Nebraska has officially extended a scholarship offer to four-star offensive tackle Kavon Blackmon, targeting him for the 2028 recruiting class.
Ranked 28th among offensive tackles nationally and seventh in Ohio, Blackmon also holds offers from Ohio State, Louisville, Purdue, Michigan State and Virginia Tech, underscoring the competition for his services.

He toured the Ohio State campus on June 17, getting a firsthand look at the program’s offensive line development.
Standing six feet six inches tall and weighing 270 pounds, Blackmon combines size with athleticism that appeals to major programs.
Building the Line
The Huskers currently have no commitments in the 2028 class, but they have already secured six offensive line recruits in the 2027 group, a direct result of the work offensive line coach Geep Wade has done to reshape the room.
Under Wade’s leadership, blue-chip prospects are increasingly viewing Nebraska as a viable destination, a shift that could reshape the program’s trajectory.
