The 49th Annual Sertoma 8‑Man All‑Star Football Game is set to showcase the best of Nebraska’s eight‑man football talent, bringing together 46 graduating seniors who have stood out in their small‑school programs across the state.
Scheduled for June 20, the contest will be held at Lloyd Wilson Field in Hastings, a venue that has become synonymous with the event’s tradition and community spirit.
This year’s rosters are split evenly, with 25 players earning a spot on the West squad and 21 on the East side, each representing a distinct blend of skill and regional pride.
The West team draws its roots from schools such as Hitchcock County, Anselmo‑Merna and Lawrence‑Nelson, while the East side will be represented by athletes from McCool Junction, Lourdes Central Catholic and Johnson‑Brock, among others.
Beyond the players, the coaching staff adds another layer of expertise, with seasoned mentors guiding each side toward a competitive yet celebratory atmosphere.
Coaching Staffs
The West’s head coach, Andy Seamann of Brady, will be joined by assistants Blake Schwarz, Tye Spies and Ryan Sanger, forming a cohesive unit that emphasizes both strategy and player development. Across the field, Matt Kuchar of Bloomfield leads the East, supported by assistants Kory Kahlandt, Luke Ericson and Steve Heimes, each bringing a fresh perspective to the game plan.
