A Soccer Hub in the Heart of Oakland
Nestled in Oakland's historic Jack London Square, the Neighborhood Sports Club (NSC) blends a coffee bar, a small retail corner, and a freshly marked soccer pitch into a single, lively space.
Founders With a Vision
Since opening its doors in late May 2026, NSC has positioned itself as a gathering point for supporters of the beautiful game, especially as the World Cup prepares to unfold at nearby Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara.
The club was launched by three former professional footballers — Max Ornstil, Dylan Autran, and Jordan Jesolva — who saw an opportunity to translate their love of the sport into a community hub that feels both local and globally connected.
Beyond serving coffee, lemonade and pastries from regional bakeries, NSC hosts weekly watch parties, organizes pickup matches, and partners with neighborhood nonprofits such as Oakland Genesis and Design FC to fund youth programs and cultural initiatives.
A Global Game on the Bay
During the World Cup window, the venue plans to stage its own Neighborhood World Cup, a tournament that will invite teams from across the Bay Area to celebrate the sport’s international spirit while the larger tournament plays out at Levi's Stadium.
Although the club is still finalizing its alcohol permit, the current menu stays focused on non‑alcoholic drinks and locally sourced treats, creating a family‑friendly atmosphere that reflects the founders’ vision of inclusive soccer culture.
Located at 100 Second Street, NSC sits steps from the waterfront, making it an easy stop for commuters, tourists, and anyone looking to experience a slice of the global game right in the heart of Oakland.
