The NEPSAC Girls Scholastic Showcase descended on Worcester, Massachusetts, this week, gathering more than 400 elite high school prospects and roughly 150 college coaches under one roof.
The event took place at Worcester Academy's new Capozzoli Athletic Center, a modern facility built to accommodate the growing demand for top‑level girls basketball exposure.
A Storm‑Hit Showcase
Midway through the first day a tornado warning forced a brief pause; coaches, players and staff crowded into the lobby, turning a potential disruption into a moment of unexpected camaraderie.
Despite the weather scare, the showcase proved its worth as a scouting hub, giving recruiters a concentrated view of talent that would otherwise be scattered across multiple high school circuits.
Among the standout performers were several guards from the 2027 class, with Anna Moser emerging as a particular point of interest for her poise, shooting range and defensive tenacity.
Organizers highlighted the efficiency of the event, noting that in a single weekend they could present a full slate of prospects to a large contingent of decision‑makers, making it one of the most time‑effective evaluation platforms of the season.
