Preseason Honors Spotlight Nevada's Rising Stars
Nevada’s football program celebrated a milestone as four of its players earned spots on the preseason All-Mountain West team, the most selections for the Wolf Pack since the 2021 campaign.
Linebacker Dylan LaBarbera paced the defense with 87 tackles and 6.5 sacks last season, a performance that helped him claim the Chris Ault Award as the team’s Most Valuable Player.
Offensive lineman Jack Foster anchored the line and was honored with the Basalite Big Blocker Award, underscoring his impact in the trenches.
Kicker Joe McFadden capped his sophomore year with 19 successful field goals, ranking eighth in school history for a single season and going 19‑of‑25 overall.
Freshman cornerback Aiden Walker appeared in 11 games, registering 24 tackles and showing promise as a future top‑tier outside defender.
The recognition extends beyond the Wolf Pack, with Micah Alejado named Mountain West offensive player of the year, Jaxton Eck earning defensive player of the year, and Jackson Williams taking special teams honors, while the quartet will represent Nevada at upcoming media days.
