A weekend of racing and giving
New Hampshire Motor Speedway’s NASCAR Cup Series weekend has become more than a racing spectacle; it is a platform for charitable giving that benefits children across the region. Since 2009, the New Hampshire Chapter of Speedway Children’s Charities has distributed over $2.3 million in grants to local nonprofits, and this year’s events aim to add to that legacy.
Fans can leave a lasting mark by purchasing engraved bricks that line the track, with prices ranging from $200 to $350. An online auction offers once‑in‑a‑lifetime experiences such as waving the green flag for qualifying sessions and gaining pit‑road access passes, while a cornhole tournament provides a first‑place prize of two VIP suite seats for Sunday’s Dollar Tree 301 NCS race.
Ways fans can contribute
A 50/50 raffle sponsored by Dollar Tree adds another avenue for support, with half the jackpot going to Speedway Children’s Charities and the winner announced on August 24. For just $5, fans can sign the Track Wall Banner, which will be displayed on the racetrack wall during the event.
The centerpiece of the weekend’s community outreach is the Track Walk, a $25 per adult stroll around the famed ‘Magic Mile’ led by NCS driver Tyler Reddick, with children under 12 admitted free. Participants also have the chance to enjoy a Hot Laps experience alongside driver Chase Briscoe, adding a personal touch to the charitable weekend.
All proceeds are pooled and distributed in December as grants to local nonprofits, ensuring that every brick purchased, every bid placed, and every raffle ticket sold translates into tangible support for children in need across the region.
