The NFL’s 32 owners have voted to allocate $33 million toward the third phase of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s expansion, a clear signal of the league’s dedication to preserving its heritage.
A Multi‑Phase Vision
The Hall’s ‘Evolve 2030’ modernization plan is divided into six distinct phases. The first two phases have already been completed, and the third is now underway, marking a decisive step toward a comprehensive re‑imagining of the museum experience.
The upcoming addition will encompass roughly 8,000 square feet of space, featuring a grand lobby, the Coach John Madden Broadcast Studio, and a series of interactive exhibits that trace the league’s first century. These elements are designed to blend storytelling with cutting‑edge technology, inviting visitors to engage with the game’s evolution.
Leadership and Legacy
The Hall of Fame Committee, composed of seven owners and designees, oversaw the funding decision. Members include Jerry Jones of the Dallas Cowboys, Gayle Benson of the New Orleans Saints, Mark Davis of the Las Vegas Raiders, Bryan Glazer of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, JW Johnson of the Cleveland Browns, Ed Policy of the Green Bay Packers, and Amy Adams Strunk of the Tennessee Titans. Their unanimous vote reflects a shared vision of honoring the sport’s legends while securing its future.
Beyond the current expansion, the Hall estimates that all six phases will ultimately cost around $102 million, with the remaining phases focusing on new or reimagined exhibits. The institution’s mission remains to celebrate NFL legends, preserve the game’s rich history, and share its stories with generations to come.
