Nia Holloway Joins Creighton Women’s Basketball

Graduate student adds academic distinction and athletic depth to the Bluejays

A New Chapter for the Bluejays

Creighton University's women's basketball program has welcomed Nia Holloway, a graduate student whose recent move adds both experience and academic rigor to the roster.

During her three seasons at the University of Minnesota, Holloway appeared in 97 games, shooting 46.9% from the field and hitting 55.1% last year, while contributing 128 points and 74 career steals.

Off the court, Holloway earned Academic All‑Big Ten honors in 2024‑25 and is now pursuing a master's degree in negotiations and conflict resolution, having previously completed a political science and urban studies degree.

Her connection to Creighton extends beyond the court; graduate assistant Kiani Lockett, a former club teammate, helped facilitate the transition, and she will also link up with fellow Eden Prairie alumnus Ethan Wragge.

Coach Jim Flanery highlighted her blend of shooting efficiency and defensive versatility, noting that her 8.1 rebounds per game at Eden Prairie High School suggest a readiness to impact the paint.

The addition comes as the Bluejays look to build on recent momentum, with the program emphasizing a mix of veteran presence and scholarly achievement as they target a strong finish to the season.
