A New Chapter for the Eagles
Niceville High School has released its 2026 football schedule, marking the first full slate under head coach Adron Robinson, who took over the program earlier this year.
The schedule promises a competitive mix of matchups, pitting the Eagles against a variety of opponents from across Florida and Alabama, including games slated for Lakeland, Panama City Beach, Crestview, Dunnellon, Tallahassee and Prattville.
Among the standout returning players are quarterback Noah Renes and wide receiver Jakobe Gilyard, both of whom are expected to play pivotal roles in the offense.
The departure of former head coach Robert Morgan, who announced his resignation in late March after a 224‑win tenure at the Marietta Blue Devils, has opened the door for Robinson’s vision.
The season will open on August 14 with a home game against the Fort Walton Beach Vikings, a rivalry that has drawn considerable attention from local fans.
Niceville finished the previous season with a 6‑5 record and was ranked No. 79 in the final 2025 Florida High School Football Massey Rankings, a position the program hopes to improve upon.
Community leaders and alumni have expressed optimism that the new coaching staff can translate the schedule’s challenging slate into a winning campaign.
