Nikita Klepov, the 15th overall selection in the 2026 NHL Entry Draft, has signed a three‑year entry‑level contract with the Anaheim Ducks.
A new chapter
Because the agreement does not allow him to compete in the AHL this season, he must make the Ducks’ NHL roster to begin his professional career.
He had been slated to spend a year at Michigan State before turning pro, a plan that has now been replaced by his immediate move to the NHL.
The contract obligates him to compete for a spot on the NHL roster, a path that will be determined during the team’s training camp.
