At North Park, Smith’s team posted 35 victories, captured the first-ever CCIW Tournament championship for the school, and saw multiple players earn All‑Summit League recognition.

His earlier role at South Dakota also produced a 35‑win season and helped mentor All‑Summit League honorees, underscoring his ability to elevate programs at the Division I and Division III levels.

Beyond the X’s and O’s, Smith and his wife Gabby are relocating to DeKalb with their four children, eager to become part of the NIU community and to engage with the local campus culture.
