A championship clinched
On Thursday night the Noblesville baseball team sealed the outright Hoosier Crossroads Conference championship, downing Zionsville 8-4 in a game that capped a remarkable stretch of dominance. The win followed a 4-1 triumph on Wednesday, giving the Millers a two-game edge that proved decisive in the final standings.
From the outset, Noblesville’s offense was relentless, capitalizing on a series of errors by the opposition and delivering timely hits that kept the scoreboard tipping in their favor. Key contributors such as Ethan Clark, Aiden Reynolds and Jalen Stidham all doubled, while Brooks Riggs delivered a solid outing on the mound, striking out three batters over five innings to earn his third win of the season.
Coach Justin Keever praised the squad’s collective effort, emphasizing the team’s defensive sharpness and the chemistry that has defined their campaign. “We play for each other,” he said, noting the camaraderie that has become a hallmark of the program.
The victory marks the Millers’ third conference title in the past four seasons, underscoring a sustained level of excellence. With the regular season now behind them, the team turns its focus to the upcoming 4A Sectional 8 tournament, where they will host Zionsville in the opening round on Wednesday.
