North Carolina’s 2027 football class is emerging as one of the most talent‑rich groups in the nation, drawing attention from college programs coast to coast. The depth of skill across positions promises to reshape the competitive landscape of college football in the coming years.
Commitments and Visits
Jaxon Dollar, a towering tight end from East Lincoln, has already cemented his reputation with a 20‑touchdown season and a verbal commitment to the University of Georgia, where he hopes to continue his ascent among the nation’s elite receivers.
On the defensive side, Rashad Streets of Millbrook has piled up 103 tackles, 39.5 for loss, 15 sacks and five forced fumbles, earning a pledge to Oregon and positioning himself as a potential early‑impact player for the Ducks.
Quinton Cypher, a safety from the same Millbrook school, amassed 181 tackles, 48 for loss, 5.5 sacks and three fumble recoveries, and he has chosen Ohio State as his next destination, bringing a relentless pursuit to the Buckeyes' secondary.
The remaining prospects are still weighing their options. Joshua Dobson, a cornerback from Hough, is slated to visit Texas A&M, LSU and South Carolina, while AJ Randle Jr. of Garner, who logged 84 tackles and three forced fumbles, remains uncommitted. Davion Jones, another Hough standout, recorded 50 tackles and four interceptions, and Jalaythan Mayfield of Lincolnton tallied 152 tackles and six sacks, both still exploring opportunities at the next level.
Other commitments include Xavier Hasan at Cardinal Gibbons, who pledged to Notre Dame after posting three interceptions, Marquis Bryant of Rolesville heading to Kentucky, John Archer from Seventy‑First choosing South Carolina, and a host of additional players who continue to impress with pass breakups and hard‑hitting performances.
The breadth of these commitments and visits underscores a recruiting landscape where elite talent is not only choosing programs but also shaping the future of college football in the Tar Heel State.
