North Paulding High School has never before tasted a state championship in any sport, but the 2022 academic year has already rewritten that narrative. Earlier in the spring the school celebrated titles in both cheerleading and girls basketball, setting the stage for an even more ambitious pursuit.
The baseball squad, under the guidance of Coach Matt Richardson, fought its way to the state finals after a dramatic semifinal victory over the storied Georgia powerhouse Parkview.
