The 2026 American Legion Baseball Northeast Regional Tournament opens on August 6 and runs through August 9 at Fitton Field in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts, bringing together six elite teams from across the region.
The competition follows a double‑elimination format, meaning each squad must lose twice before being eliminated, heightening the stakes of every matchup.
Teams and State Representation
State champions from Massachusetts, Vermont, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine will be represented by Franklin Post 75, Essex Post 91, Cumberland Post 14, Bedford Post 54 and Sanford Post 19 respectively, joining the reigning champion Greece Post 468 from New York.
Shrewsbury Post 238 serves as the host team, providing local support and venue logistics for the event.
Path to the World Series
The regional champion earned here will advance to the 2026 American Legion Baseball World Series in Shelby, North Carolina, scheduled for August 13‑18, where they will contend for the national title.
Games will be played across Thursday, Friday and Saturday, with the final matchups determining which team emerges from the bracket to represent the Northeast.
