The 2026 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference preseason poll has placed the Northern Michigan University women's soccer team fifth among its ten members, a position that reflects both the program's recent stability and the tough competition it faces.

Heading the squad are head coach Erin Egolf and assistant coach Nathan Phillips, who take the reins for their second season together after the departures of Jon Sandoval and Natalie Stampfly.
