Northwestern State University has released its full slate of home games for the upcoming 2026‑27 men’s and women’s basketball seasons, promising the most packed schedule at Mike McConathy Court in more than a decade.
The schedule features fifteen home contests at Prather Coliseum in Natchitoches, Louisiana, a milestone that underscores the program’s growing momentum and offers fans a rare chance to see the Demons in action on their own floor throughout the fall and early winter.
A Revamped Home Slate
Ticket sales will begin on September 1 for season packages covering both the men’s and women’s teams, with individual game tickets becoming available on October 1, giving supporters ample time to plan attendance.
Key matchups dot the calendar, including a three‑game home stretch from November 20 to December 1 that will see the Demons host UT Arlington, West Florida and Ecclesia College, while the season opener on November 10 will pit them against Millsaps College after a brief road trip.
Coach Rick Cabrera said the mixture of opponents is designed to test the team and sharpen its play ahead of Southland Conference competition, noting the return to a former rival and the introduction of a new Division I foe as valuable preparation tools.
The full slate builds on a historic trend, marking the most extensive home schedule since the 2014‑15 campaign and setting the stage for a competitive push that could reshape the program’s trajectory.
