Northwestern State University is set to host its 38th annual Don't Die Wondering Golf Classic on September 12, a charity event aimed at raising vital funds for the university’s women’s basketball program.
The tournament will be staged at the Northwestern Hills Golf Course within the Robert W. Wilson Recreation Complex, offering a four‑person scramble format that kicks off with a shotgun start at 8 a.m.
Participants can expect a full day of competition punctuated by food and drinks served at the clubhouse and throughout the course, while sponsors and corporate partners have the chance to secure hole and corporate sponsorships.
Entry costs $450 per team or $125 per individual, with all proceeds directed toward player meals, travel expenses and other program needs, a financial boost that coach Harley Cook says will make a tangible difference.
