The campaign will officially begin on August 28 when the Wildcats travel to face VCU, a matchup that will set the tone for a schedule packed with elite competition.
Recent graduations have stripped the roster of key contributors, including offensive stalwarts Maddie Zimmer and Grace Schulze, as well as defenders Amelia Albers and Maja Zivojnovic, leaving sizable gaps in both attack and back line.
Nevertheless, the coaching staff has bolstered the squad with a wave of fresh talent, highlighted by the arrival of top‑100 recruit Eleanor Evarts and the proven impact player Bree Moffett, who brings experience from U.S. national youth teams.
In goal, Juliana Boon returns as the Big Ten Goalkeeper of the Year, boasting a .775 save percentage and three years of eligibility remaining, while backup options Faye Post and Kayla Joyce provide depth.
Ilse Tromp, the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year, anchors a defensive unit that also features Emilie Kirschner, Kerry McCormick and the versatile Annabel Skubisz, all of whom are expected to shoulder increased responsibility.
