A Recruiting Surge at Notre Dame
Under head coach Marcus Freeman, Notre Dame has already locked in 21 prospects for the Class of 2027, a haul that includes four players rated as five-star talents.
What makes the list especially striking is the depth of high-rated talent, with 17 of the commitments earning four or five-star designations, pushing the blue-chip ratio above 80 percent.
Among the standout recruits are offensive lineman Albert Simien, tackle Oluwasemilore Olubobola, edge rusher Abraham Sesay and defensive tackle David Folorunsho, each of whom brings a distinct skill set that could reshape the Irish line.
The staff is still chasing two marquee names: defensive lineman Brayden Parks, who is weighing a decision between Notre Dame and Oregon, and top-10 linebacker Roman Igewbuike, slated to announce his commitment on July 11.
Rankings analysts currently place Notre Dame just behind Texas A&M in the overall 2027 recruiting standings, and the program is targeting back-to-back top-five classes as a stepping stone toward a realistic shot at the national championship.
