Former Kansas guard Ochai Agbaji brought his Young Agbaji Foundation back to the heart of the Midwest this summer, staging the second annual Basketball Skills Camp at Oak Park High School in Kansas City, Missouri.
The three‑hour training session welcomed fifty youngsters ranging from eight to eighteen, who honed their fundamentals under Agbaji’s guidance before gathering for a meet‑and‑greet that let them chat and snap photos with the NBA veteran.
Community Roots and Future Dreams
Speaking about the event, Agbaji stressed the importance of giving back to the community that helped shape his career, noting that returning to his high school felt like a full‑circle moment.
The foundation’s outreach doesn’t stop on the court; it also organizes food drives at local homeless shelters, extending its impact beyond sports.
After a trade that saw him move from the Toronto Raptors to the Brooklyn Nets, Agbaji has been refining his scoring and shooting, bringing fresh energy to his new team while staying connected to his Kansas roots.
The next Young Agbaji skills camp will be held at MOKAN Basketball on August 1, starting at nine a.m., and the foundation hopes to keep the momentum going in future summers.
