Sun Belt Media Days Set for New Orleans
The Sun Belt Conference will convene its annual Football Media Days on Wednesday, July 15, in the historic heart of New Orleans, Louisiana. The event draws coaches, players and media from across the league, offering a preview of the upcoming season.
Old Dominion University’s football contingent is scheduled to take the main stage at 2:30 p.m. Eastern, where head coach Ricky Rahne, running back Devin Roche and safety Mario Easterly will each engage with reporters and fans. Their 30‑minute segment will be streamed live on ESPN+.
Earlier that morning, at roughly 11:30 a.m. Eastern, the trio will join veteran hosts Matt Stewart and Rocky Boiman in an ESPN+ studio segment. The conversation will highlight the team’s progress, key storylines and the broader impact of the Monarchs’ return to the Sun Belt.
Rahne, now in his second year as head coach, is expected to outline the program’s development after a strong spring campaign. Roche, who emerged as a dynamic playmaker, will discuss his role in the offense, while Easterly will provide insight into the defense’s evolution.
The live broadcast will be available to viewers nationwide through the ESPN+ platform, which will also archive the segments for on‑demand viewing. Fans tuning in can expect a behind‑the‑scenes look at the preparation and ambitions of the ODU squad as they gear up for the new season.
