The 2026 high school baseball season culminated with a record 25 athletes from the Miami Valley earning All-Ohio first-team honors, a testament to the region’s growing depth across all seven divisions.

Badin Catholic High School topped the local contingent, placing four players on the elite list: Caleb Driessen, Keegan Sawyer, Cade Cummins and Chandler Taylor.

Other standout performers

Coldwater contributed three D-V first-team members — Karsyn Homan, Derek Dues and Braxton Taylor — while Beavercreek’s Easton Grimm and Andrew Oppenheimer joined Springboro’s Ben Veletean and Nick Hutchinson on the D-I first team.

In Division II, Troy’s Aidan Gorman and Jake Reinhardt earned spots, and Butler’s Jackson Schilling alongside Koby Dues represented D-III. St. Henry’s Owen Zimmerman and Drew Langenkamp were recognized in D-VI.

Coaches of the year

Centerville’s Jason Whited was named D-I Coach of the Year, while St. Henry’s Mike Gast received the D-VI Coach of the Year award, highlighting the impact of leadership on these teams.
