The Ohio High School Baseball Coaches Association (OHSBCA) has released its 2026 All‑Ohio teams, a yearly snapshot of the state’s most accomplished high school players and the mentors who guide them. The announcement, which spans six divisions, celebrates not only individual excellence but also the depth of talent that continues to emerge from Ohio’s high school diamonds.
Among the honorees are several standouts from the Greater Akron region, whose performances have helped shape the competitive landscape across Divisions II, III and beyond. Schools such as Walsh Jesuit, Cuyahoga Valley Christian Academy and Olentangy Liberty are prominently featured, underscoring the region’s sustained impact on the sport.
Division I Honorees
In Division I, the first‑team roster includes names like Reid Hemrick, Landon Thiel and Parker Van Engelenhoven, the latter earning Player of the Year honors for his dominant season. Coach Jason Whited of Centerville was recognized as the division’s Coach of the Year, reflecting a campaign that blended strategic acumen with player development.
Division II and III Highlights
Division II’s first team showcases athletes such as Cael Charles, Bryce Besgrove and Drew Jones, who was crowned Player of the Year for his exceptional hitting and fielding. Grant Graves of Lakewood received Coach of the Year accolades, highlighting his role in guiding his squad to a memorable season.
Division III features standout performers including Caleb Driessen, Ryan Weibling and Wilson Wells, the latter earning Player of the Year for his all‑around contributions. Coach Steve Young of Wooster was similarly honored, adding another chapter to the division’s rich coaching narratives.
The spotlight extends to Division IV, where Talon Walton of Perkins was named Player of the Year, and Adam Arcuri of Licking Valley captured Coach of the Year. Their achievements illustrate the competitive balance that defines the lower divisions.
Division V and VI round out the selections with further recognition of emerging talent. Jack Watson, Jackson Knepper and Ryan Younglas lead the Division V first team, while Lucas Daughtery earns Coach of the Year honors. In Division VI, Grady Monigold of Hiland is celebrated as Player of the Year, and Mike Gast of St. Henry receives Coach of the Year.
