The Ohio State University men’s basketball squad is set to embark on a Caribbean preseason adventure, with two exhibition contests scheduled in Puerto Rico.
A Caribbean preseason
The games will be held at the Coliseo Rubén Rodríguez in San Juan, with the first tip‑off slated for Aug. 2 at noon and the second for Aug. 3 at 1:30 p.m.
Both matchups will pit the Buckeyes against opponents identified only as Equipo 1 and Equipo 2, providing a rare chance to test new lineups before the regular season begins.
Beyond the contests, the team will use the trip to fine‑tune its chemistry, holding practices on the island and conducting a youth clinic in the coastal neighborhood of La Perla.
Players and staff will also explore Old San Juan’s historic streets, take a catamaran excursion along the coastline, and soak up local culture as part of a broader team‑building effort.
Unlike many televised preseason games, these contests will not be broadcast on TV or radio, meaning attendance in person is the only way for fans to watch.
