Recent commitments have included a trio of four‑star defenders and depth on the line of scrimmage, bolstering the roster’s overall quality.
However, the class suffered a setback when five‑star running back David Gabriel Georges chose Tennessee, a decision that reverberated through the recruiting landscape.

Head coach Ryan Day and the rest of the staff continue to chase elite prospects, including Marcus Fakatou, Caden Moss, D.J. Jacobs, Jamier Brown, Wyatt Smith, Prince Goldsby and Deontay Malone, all of whom remain on the radar.
The program’s ability to overcome longstanding ties at schools such as LSU, Ole Miss and Tennessee illustrates a strategic shift that could keep the Buckeyes competitive as the Early Signing Period approaches in December.
