The Ohio High School Athletic Association announced a $10,000 penalty for Olentangy Local Schools after determining that the program had inadvertently violated Bylaw 3-1 during the previous season.
The investigation zeroed in on MC Walker, a 2026 graduate who transferred from Westerville North and quickly became a cornerstone of the Orange football team.
Walker helped the squad finish the year unbeaten at 15-0, capping the run with a 28-14 victory over Cincinnati St. Xavier in the state championship game.
In that title game he recorded five receptions for 123 yards and a touchdown, numbers that contributed to his selection as second‑team all‑OCC‑Central and special mention all‑district.
The association clarified that the sanction does not alter the official result, meaning the team's championship remains part of the record books.
Walker now prepares for his freshman season at Ohio University, where he hopes to translate his high school success to the collegiate stage.
Beyond football, he also served as a guard for the Orange basketball team this past winter, underscoring his versatility as a two‑sport athlete.
