Rescheduling the Regional Opener
The NCAA Atlanta Regional opener that was slated for Friday evening has been pushed back to Saturday morning after a bout of inclement weather hit the host city. Oklahoma’s matchup with The Citadel, originally set for 4 p.m. CT on Friday, will now tip off at 9 a.m. CT on Saturday, a change that also reshapes the day's slate of games.
With the new start time, the Sooners will open the regional against the Bulldogs before an elimination contest for the loser is slated to follow roughly an hour and a half later. A victory in the morning game would propel Oklahoma into the winners bracket, where they would meet the Yellow Jackets at 5 p.m. CT later in the day.
Broadcast and Coverage
The broadcast details were confirmed by the university, with the game available to stream on ESPN+ and to listen on The REF 99.3 FM/1400 AM. The coverage will be anchored by play‑by‑play voice Toby Rowland alongside analyst Carly Murray, who will provide live commentary from the dugout.
Fans can stay up to date on the Sooners’ progress through the team’s official social channels, including X and Instagram under the handle @OU_Baseball, as well as the Oklahoma Baseball Facebook page, which will post real‑time updates and post‑game analysis.
