Jacob Sexton, an offensive lineman, is projected to start at left guard. A former starter at Oklahoma, Sexton overcame injuries in his final two collegiate seasons and now aims to bring stability to the interior line.
James Williams, a defensive end, is expected to deliver a consistent pass‑rush presence. He logged five sacks in his final year at Nebraska, and his experience should bolster the Cowboys’ defensive front.
Linebacker Tate Romney is another focal point. Despite a history of injuries, Romney’s 52 tackles in 2023 suggest he could make a meaningful impact if he stays healthy.
Cornerback Mo Horn adds veteran savvy to a young secondary. His 56 total tackles in 2024 reflect a readiness to mentor younger teammates while contributing on the field.
The Cowboys’ roster also draws on recent experiences from programs such as Wake Forest, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Florida State, Arizona State and Texas Tech, each of which contributed players now on the roster.
