A New Chapter for the Sooners
The University of Oklahoma’s women’s basketball program is gearing up for a demanding 2026‑27 campaign that will see the Sooners contest a full slate of 16 conference matchups within the Southeastern Conference.
Head coach Jennie Baranczyk, now in her sixth year at the helm, will rely on a core group that helped the team reach back‑to‑back Sweet 16 appearances, including freshman sensation Aaliyah Chavez, who earned National Freshman of the Year honors, and veteran forward Sahara Williams.
Conference Battles and Road Tests
The schedule features home‑and‑home series against traditional powerhouses such as South Carolina, as well as contests against Georgia, Kentucky, Vanderbilt, Alabama, Auburn, Texas, and the road trips to Tennessee, Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Arkansas, Florida and LSU.
Global Exposure and Rivalry Games
Beyond the conference slate, Oklahoma will test itself on the global stage with a highly anticipated exhibition in Paris against Syracuse, while the Bedlam rivalry against Oklahoma State promises another marquee showdown.
Ticket Access and Fan Experience
Fans can secure season tickets starting at $108, with premium options available through the Sooner Club, ensuring a vibrant atmosphere as the team aims to extend its postseason run.
March Showdown in Greenville
The 2027 SEC Women’s Basketball Tournament is slated for March 3‑7 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina, where the Sooners hope to add another deep tournament run to their résumé.
