Ole Miss has secured its first four‑star recruit for the 2028 class, landing defensive lineman Antavion Allen, who brings a blend of size and pass‑rush ability that has drawn national attention.
Standing at 6‑foot‑4 and weighing 289 pounds, Allen emerged from Hattiesburg High School where he posted 66 tackles, 21 tackles for loss, 18 sacks and one forced fumble as a sophomore, numbers that placed him among the state's elite.

In the Class of 2028, Allen is positioned No. 90 overall and ranks ninth among defensive linemen nationwide. Within Mississippi, he trails only four‑star running back Zaiden Jernigan, who also headlines the state's recruiting landscape.
Commitment details
Allen announced his decision on August 11, narrowing his choices to Ole Miss, LSU, Alabama and a handful of other powerhouse programs before ultimately electing to stay home with the Rebels.
The commitment marks a significant milestone for Ole Miss, which now has two pledged athletes in the 2028 class: Allen alongside three‑star wide receiver Latedrick Mallard from McComb.
