A Strategic Overhaul in the Transfer Portal
Following the abrupt exit, manager Mike Bianco and his coaching staff moved swiftly to the transfer portal, securing six newcomers who bring a blend of experience and upside heading into the 2027 season.
Among the arrivals is Mavrick Rizy, a 6‑foot‑9 right‑hander who transferred from LSU. Known for a fastball that consistently hits the high 90s, Rizy posted a 4.22 ERA last season and will contend for a relief role.
