Manhattan University announced the addition of Olivia Grgicevich Lassey to its women's basketball program for the 2026‑27 season, a move that underscores the Jaspers' commitment to expanding talent pipelines beyond domestic borders.

Standing at 5'11", Lassey arrives as a guard renowned for her tenacious defense and adaptable offensive skill set. In her two seasons at Collin College in Plano, Texas, she helped the Cougars compile a 44‑18 record while averaging 9.0 points, 4.3 rebounds and nearly two steals per game.
Her shooting efficiency was equally impressive, hitting 44 % of her field attempts and converting 76 % of free throws. She capped her collegiate career with a career‑high 22‑point performance on Jan. 11, 2025, against Temple College, and repeatedly demonstrated the ability to change the tempo of a game.
Defensive Masterclass
Opponents learned quickly that Lassey can be a disruptive force; in a standout matchup against Paris Junior she swatted three shots and recorded two steals, while on three other occasions she logged four or more steals, including a season‑high five in a win over Hill College.
