Olivia Pifer, a walk‑on guard who joined Bellarmine University’s women’s basketball program midway through the 2025‑26 season, has been awarded a scholarship in recognition of her rapid impact on the team.
A Midseason Turnaround
During her debut stretch, Pifer appeared in 17 games, starting nine and logging an average of 28.1 minutes per contest. She contributed 4.1 rebounds per game, placing her second among teammates who played at least half the schedule, and ranked fourth on the squad with 16 total steals, including two games in which she recorded four steals each.
Coach Monique Reid highlighted the player’s work ethic and resilience, noting that Pifer’s ability to limit turnovers — going turnover‑free in nearly half of her appearances and committing only a single miscue over her first five games — has been a key factor in the team’s recent surge.
Off the court, Pifer shared a personal mantra drawn from Scripture, quoting Isaiah 60:22: “When the time is right, the Lord will make it happen.” She expressed gratitude for the scholarship and a commitment to continue delivering positive contributions.
