The cancellation left the club $13,000 out of pocket, threatening the players’ summer plans and the parents’ investment.
In response, a group of parents launched a GoFundMe campaign, reaching out to multiple leagues and local sponsors to keep the team afloat.

The effort culminated in a rebranding to the Omaha Phoenix, a name that evokes rebirth and resilience, and the team began playing roughly 30 games across the region.
Local baseball organizations, including Keystone Little League, Omaha Force and Soldier Sports, opened their fields and donated uniforms, turning the setback into a showcase of community solidarity.
Player Hudson Hollibaugh, who voiced his hope to simply play and enjoy the game, became a symbol of the team’s renewed spirit.
