Omar Dizdar Joins UE Men's Soccer Coaching Staff
The University of Evansville announced this week that Omar Dizdar will serve as a graduate assistant coach for the Purple Aces men's soccer program, bringing a recent playing pedigree and a business degree to the sidelines.
Dizdar spent four seasons with the Hanover College Panthers, appearing in 77 matches and starting 41 of them. His offensive contributions included 16 goals and 15 assists, while his durability helped the team compile a 42‑20‑15 record and reach three Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament finals.
In 2024 he earned First Team All‑Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference honors after a standout season in which he netted a career‑high seven goals and added four assists. The Panthers' overall success that year featured a 27‑4‑6 conference slate, underscoring Dizdar's role in a program that consistently competed at a high level.
Beyond the statistics, Dizdar graduated in spring 2026 with a degree in Business & Economics, a background that aligns with the university's emphasis on academic excellence. His transition from player to coach reflects a growing trend of former student‑athletes contributing to program development.
