The rivalry between the University of Oregon and Oregon State University, long celebrated as one of college football’s most enduring contests, will resume its rhythm after a brief intermission.
A New Era for the Oregon‑Oregon State Rivalry
Under a new agreement, the Ducks and Beavers have locked in four non‑conference matchups scheduled for 2028, 2029, 2031 and 2032, reviving a series that has paused only briefly in 2026 and 2027.
The first of those games is set for September 16, 2028 at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, where the Beavers will open their home slate against the Ducks.
A year later, Oregon will travel to Eugene for a September 15, 2029 showdown at Autzen Stadium, before the rivalry takes a hiatus in 2030.
The schedule then resumes in 2031 with a home game for Oregon State on August 30, 2031, and culminates in 2032 when Oregon returns to Reser Stadium on September 11.
Beyond the calendar, the series remains the seventh‑most played rivalry in college football and the second‑most at the FBS level, with Oregon holding a 70‑49‑10 record after 129 meetings.
The agreement also includes a minor adjustment to Oregon’s 2029 non‑conference slate, moving its game against Utah State from September 15 to September 8, a logistical tweak that reflects the careful coordination required to preserve tradition while navigating modern conference demands.
