Oregon State’s men’s basketball squad rolled into Langley, British Columbia, and left no doubt about the outcome, routing Trinity Western 113‑77 in a summer‑tour showdown.
From the opening tip the Beavers surged ahead, scoring the first ten points and never looking back, ultimately finishing with a 36‑point margin.
A high‑octane offensive display
The team shot a scorching 65.3 % from the field, hitting 71 of 108 attempts, and posted a 74.4 % clip in the first half, establishing a lead of 71‑22 at the break.
Six players reached double‑digit scoring, highlighted by DeShawn Gory’s 18 points, nine rebounds, four assists and four steals, while Jackson Rasmussen contributed 19 points on 8‑for‑14 shooting.
Veterans Chris Johnson and Daniel Freitag added 18 and 17 points respectively, the latter knocking down four of six three‑point tries, and Kahu Treacher chipped in 16 points on 6‑for‑7 shooting.
The Beavers also dominated the glass and the turnover battle, dishing out 29 assists, recording 17 steals and limiting turnovers to just 13, underscoring their control on both ends.
The next challenge for Oregon State comes as they continue their Canadian summer tour, facing the University of Victoria on Thursday and Saturday, matches that will test the momentum built in Langley.
