A Revamped Attack
Oregon State’s women’s soccer program concluded last season with just 17 goals, a tally that positioned the Beavers near the foot of the West Coast Conference standings.
The modest offensive output was amplified by a wave of departures; four players who scored in the previous campaign have moved on, and three midfield contributors also left the roster.
Returning midfielder Adele Schwab emerges as the team’s leading scorer from last year, having recorded two goals and four assists, and she is expected to anchor the attack.
Up front, the Beavers will field a refreshed lineup that includes returning forward Avery Pleiman and new additions Abby Smith and Amber Ogbolu, the latter arriving from Gillette College where she set a JUCO record with 23 goals.
The midfield group now comprises six athletes, three of whom are newcomers for the 2026 season, among them transfer Sophia Zboyan from Colorado, who briefly appeared for the Buffaloes and registered a shot on goal.
Another transfer, Morgan Long from Daytona State College, added a goal and two assists during her previous stint and is slated to contribute in the upcoming campaign.
Freshman Leanne Oropeza brings international experience from the Mexican U15 team and will look to make an impact as she adjusts to college soccer.
Looking Ahead
While the exact formation remains undecided, the coaching staff is confident that the blend of veteran presence and fresh talent will yield a more dynamic and prolific offense.
