The Oregon women's soccer program ended the 2025 season with a modest 3-10-5 record, a result that left coach Tracy Joyner eager to reshape the squad for a more competitive 2026 campaign.
Joyner has overseen a major overhaul, bringing in 14 new players, including a wave of freshmen, and enlisting former U.S. Women's National Team assistant Laura Schott onto the coaching staff.
A Revamped Roster
Among the returning standouts are senior forward Lauren Kenny, who topped the team with three goals last year, junior midfielder Cloe Chase, who missed much of the previous season due to a leg injury, and midfielder Carly Cormack, while sophomore Cailin Bloom also returns. Newcomers include goalkeeper Gray Wilson from Colorado State, as well as the aforementioned coaching addition Laura Schott. The midfield will also feature transfer Jayde Holley, Savannah Holley, Gia Kiesling, Caeley Goldstein, Kailey Kimball, Miya Alamares, Addisen Boyer, Grace Charles, Makea Leonard, Paige Nakada and Mailin Orozco, all of whom are expected to contribute.
The Ducks open their non-league schedule with a match against Santa Clara on August 20, then move into Big Ten play against UCLA and Penn State, contests that will test the team's improved defense and attack.
Oregon's previous conference performance was challenging, finishing 1-6-4 in the Big Ten and being outscored 15-7, but the added depth and experience are expected to close those gaps.
The roster also includes other notable names such as Tracy Joyner herself, who continues to guide the team from the sidelines, and the returning defensive line that will look to tighten up after a season that saw the squad outscored in most conference games.
With a blend of seasoned veterans and promising newcomers, the Ducks hope to translate their offseason additions into on-field success, aiming for a stronger finish in both non-conference and conference play.
