The University of the Pacific’s men’s basketball program has been celebrated by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for its exemplary academic performance in the 2025‑26 season.
The Boxers earned two distinct accolades: the Team Academic Excellence Award, which honors programs that maintain a collective grade point average of at least 3.0, and multiple spots on the NABC Honors Court, reserved for individual players who achieve a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
A Season Defined by Scholarship
Eleven Boxers were named to the Honors Court, reflecting the program’s commitment to developing student‑athletes who excel both on the hardwood and in the classroom.
The recognized players include Anthony Gehring, Anthony Hrboka, Colby Beck‑Watts, Gavin Siddoway, Ian Coates‑White, Jared Pamintuan, Max Vacco, Nate Willis, Romyn Johnson, Ryder Mackay and Tyler Vineyard, each of whom balanced rigorous coursework with a demanding competition schedule.
Craig Robinson, Executive Director of the NABC, emphasized that the academic achievements of college basketball student‑athletes deserve the same celebration as athletic accomplishments, underscoring the organization’s belief that scholarly excellence is integral to the sport’s future.
