On Thursday morning, the Pacific women's soccer program unveiled its 2026 slate, a 18‑game roadmap that blends a rigorous non‑conference schedule with the brand‑new West Coast Conference calendar.
Head coach Jeff Freeman announced the lineup, expressing confidence that the mix of opponents will test the Tigers and accelerate their development.
A schedule built for ambition
The centerpiece of the announcement is the inaugural West Coast Conference tournament, set for November 11‑14, where the top four regular‑season teams will battle in a single‑elimination format, each round hosted by the highest seed.
Pacific's regular season kicks off on August 13 at Sacramento State, before the conference slate begins on September 26 with a home matchup against LMU.
The Tigers will face a host of familiar foes and newcomers alike, including Pepperdine, Saint Mary's and San Diego at home, while traveling to Portland, Santa Clara, San Francisco and Denver for away contests.
Beyond the WCC, the non‑conference slate features matches against Fresno State, Stanford, Nevada, Weber State, Cal Poly and Cal State Bakersfield, offering early‑season challenges that Freeman believes will sharpen the team for the grind ahead.
Freeman highlighted that the ambitious schedule is part of a broader strategy to position Pacific for multiple NCAA tournament bids, reflecting the university's growing investment in women's sports.
