Public practices and fan engagement
The Green Bay Packers began their training camp on Wednesday, marking the first of twelve sessions that will be open to the public. The opening practice took place at 10:30 a.m. on Ray Nitschke Field, just steps from Lambeau Field, and drew a crowd of fans eager to watch the squad in action. Rookie linebacker Johnnie Gray arrived early, drawing cheers from the early‑morning crowd.
In case of inclement weather, practices will be moved inside the Don Hutson Center and closed to the public, but organizers have arranged for children to bring their bikes to give players rides to and from the locker room, adding a community‑friendly touch to the session.
Family Night is slated for August 7 at Lambeau Field, where families can enjoy the atmosphere while players interact with fans. The preseason schedule kicks off on August 13 with a road game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, followed by a home matchup against the Arizona Cardinals on August 28. A joint practice with the Cardinals is set for August 26, giving both teams extra preparation time before the regular season.
Updates from the camp will be delivered through the FOX 11 News at Ten and the FOX 11 Weather App, which will provide hourly forecasts to help fans plan attendance. The annual shareholders meeting will be held on Monday at Lambeau Field, where executives will present a financial report projecting $753 million in revenue for fiscal 2026. Shareholders have already received their tickets to the event.
