The 32nd annual Panhandle Prep Sports Magazine All-Star Basketball Games are set to light up Scottsbluff High School on May 29, bringing together the region’s top senior players for a doubleheader that promises excitement from tip-off to the final buzzer.

The girls’ contest will open at 5:30 p.m., followed by the boys’ game at roughly 7:30 p.m., with a dunk contest staged at halftime of the opening game and a three-point showdown slated between the two matchups, while a scholarship presentation will cap the evening during the boys’ halftime break.

Organizers have confirmed that the event will be televised on a yet-to-be-announced station, giving fans across the panhandle a chance to follow the action live, while coaches from a dozen schools will be on hand to guide their squads and celebrate the athletes’ achievements.

The rosters feature talent from a wide array of programs including Alliance, Burns, Bayard, Crawford, Bridgeport, Gering, Chadron and many others, showcasing a deep pool of skill that reflects the vibrant basketball culture of western Nebraska.

Beyond the competition, the gathering serves as a community celebration, highlighting the next generation of players and offering them a platform to earn scholarships and gain exposure as they move toward the next chapter of their athletic careers.
