Nick Sarantakos led the offense, netting two goals, while James VandeHei added a marker of his own. The goal came in the closing minutes, capping a dominant performance that underscored the team's depth.
The win marked the culmination of a three‑match exhibition stretch in which the Panthers posted a 6‑1 aggregate score, having previously defeated Furman University 1‑0 and posted a 2‑0 shutout against Wofford College.
Assists from Josh Nwokeji and Noah Joseph helped shape the attack, while goalkeeper Enzo Rekka and defender Aiden Bazzell contributed to a disciplined back line.
Head Coach Zach Haines praised the university community, families and the enthusiastic supporters who filled the stands, noting that the atmosphere bodes well for the regular season.
The Panthers are now set to open the official campaign against Long Island University on August 20 at 7:30 p.m., a match that will test the momentum built during preseason.
